Excellent! Despite not knowing the gentles, these look like they are good likenesses. I particularly like the detail work on the beard, the lace and blackwork(?) partlet - very true to style. Also, kudos for the neatness and fineness of the lettering - mine was always too clumsy.

Painted lettering is pretty easy after doing mirror imaged carved lettering on portrait medal molds. If you mess up with paint, you can just paint over it. The part I hate is when I bobble a brush full of gold paint and put a streak across a nice finished face. It's happened more often than I'd like, including on one of these two.
