Standing Desk

While the wife was convalescing from her recent back surgery, she ended up putting her laptop up on the ironing board so that she could get to it easily without having to twist or bend from her comfy chair. This led me too look again at standing desks. She's got a simple setup consisting of just a folding table with its legs extended to counter height. I wanted to give it a try too, but of course mine had to be more complicated:



I picked up a shelving unit from Lowe's, which was the perfect height when I left off the top parts of the corner bars. I also got some nice beefy casters for it, so I can move the thing around. The whole thing slides right into the empty nook that used to have the litterbox in it. I'm not sure what I'll put on the rest of the shelves, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.
