Bad Technology Day
Nov. 20th, 2008 10:16 pmMy cell phone has been showing signs of age, so I went to get a new one at the T-Mobile store. As I was swapping the SIM card, I realized just how flimsy the case of the new phone was, and I changed my mind. All the paperwork had been done already, so I had to call customer service to make sure everything got credited back properly. On the way home I got stuck in some horrible traffic, so I got it taken care of while crawling past a burned-out semi trailer. The girl on the phone was pleasant, and I ended up ordering a better built phone instead. I'll just have to wait for it to be delivered.
I got home and we settled down to watch some TV. The fancy (almost) new flat screen TV decided it would be a good time for its power board to die, and it no longer shows a picture. Fortunately, it's still under warranty and will get fixed for free, but there will be annoying waiting involved there too.
Things could always be worse, of course, but it's still very irritating.
