Still Alive

I haven't had much to update about lately. I wrote another story last week that I may post at some point, though it's a bit longer than the last one.

Mostly I wanted to note that I had an absolutely lovely weekend visiting Okeborne Keep for their Much Ado About Something event. The weather was good, if occasionally temperamental, the fighting was excellent, and the food was amazing. There were plays put on throughout the day to entertain the populace, and I was able to wrangle some dancing in the afternoon and after feast.

I had expected not to know a soul, but it turned out that I saw several splendid old friends there and made many more new ones. I also came to the conclusion that, while there is something to be said for traditions, it is quite refreshing to go to an event without the burden of precedent. It felt very much like the events of my youth.
